Dawn and Adam spied each other from across the room. Their bands were playing on the same bill at Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco that evening, and there was an immediate connection. A month later, fate took a hand and Adam found himself at another of Dawn's shows. Through a stoke of (good) luck, Adam's car got locked in an overnight garage, so he hitched a ride home with Dawn. She tracked his number down the next day and offered to take him back to pick up his car. Neither one of them were ready to say goodbye that quickly, so they turned the day into their first date... visiting the San Francisco Wax Museum, taking a stroll in the park, and grabbing some ice cream. That was eight years ago... And now they're getting married!
Dawn and Adam love their hometown of Oakland, especially the Old Oakland neighborhood with its gorgeous Victorian architecture, so they decided it was the perfect backdrop for their engagement session. And their dogs, Baxter and Simon, are so dearly loved they had to be included, too! I had such a wonderful time spending the afternoon and evening with these two... and loved seeing Oakland through their eyes! Dawn and Adam have great personal style (check out those red shoes!) and such a sweet, kind way with each other. It was truly a pleasure to capture that, and I just can't wait for their wedding later this month!
